"Last One Picked" Superchic[k]

I just bought Superchic[k]s latest Album "Last One Picked" and was in love by the first Song "Highschool" which talks about letting go of your insecurity. Superchic[k] has slowly become one of my favorite bands. There are lessons for growing Girls that no one is perfect and you shouldn't model yourself after Britney Spears. Your body is your Temple for God, don't destroy it! As well as messages for guys like no one can be 180 solid muscle, and that God loves you for who you are on the inside. It sets a positive message for all generations, male and female. So don't let the name of the band Fool you. 'Cause Superchic[k] is a six member band with only Two chicks ;)

Creed

Yes, Creed is an awesome band Music wise. And yes, they do have spiritual songs that Christians can relate to. DO NOT BE FOOLED..Creed is in no way shape or form a Christian band. However, I am not saying their music is completely wrong for us as christians to listen to. It is a bit confusing to tell whether or not Creed is a christian band, but lets go beyond the music and to the People behind it. Scott  Stapp says "We're flip-flop and t-shirts wearing, tobacco dipping Budweiser drinkers." (Rolling Stone, 9/99). They have also used obscenity in their interviews, and in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, bragged about spending $2500 at a Strip Bar. (for complete interview visit rollingstone.com)
In the song "What's this life for" Scott Stapp says "But they aint here anymore, don't have to settle no Godd*** Score"  Are Christians supposed to use Gods name in vain? When you look up the lyrics for this song, that will be conveniently edited out. So download the song on your own.
The big question here is, Do they know the God they are singing about? Are the lyrics to some of their songs blinding us to the true Character of these people? Don't take my word for it, Discover these things on your own. But beware, "Satan Comes like a theif in  the night"

"Kareoke Superstar" Superchi[k] 2000

Have you heard Superchic[k]? Over the Past few years they have become one of my Favorites. With their Powerful Message of Purity and Abstanence I found myself to Grow more fond of them not only as a Band but People as well. "Kareoke Superstar" is their Album and I definatly Encourage you to buy it! It has a Ska, punk/pop sound that everyone falls in love with. My favorite song is "Barlow Girls" For this Line Especially "But I know for sure, It's never popular to be pure, but while some guys might be passing them by..I think they caught someones eye"
The song talks about 3 sisters who have Chosen Not to date untill they felt like God wanted them to, To stay pure. It's not only for girls guys! It's for you as well. It encourages all Teens to stay pure, and lets us know we aren't alone. The album also has songs relating to the struggles with Popularity, friends, and your walk with Christ. It has a powerful message as well as some awesome Music..Check it out!

"Silence" Blindside

I recently bought the new Blindside Cd and was pretty much Amazed. They send a message to anyone, That message is "You can't have your cake and eat it too." God isn't some Cosmic power that is going to give you everything your heart desires, it takes a lot of work from you as well. The song "Pitiful" says this "but I know as they hammered those nails
into your beautiful hands
your eyes they tried to search for mine
but I look away
now your eyes are the only thing that can save me
I'm still afraid of them piercin'
you break into my prison
just pretended for a while
my soul is sad and I walk away"
pretty Powerful message. If you want a copy of the Cd, just ask me for one. I'll be more than happy to burn you a copy :)

12 stones Self Titled Debut Album 2002

Wow. What more can I say? I found out about 12 stones and heard they were a secular band. I was a little hesitant to buy the cd but heard it had a "message" behind it. I bought the cd, praying I just didn't waste $12 dollars. And let me tell you, It wasn't a waste of money! This band is bringing Jesus to people who aren't even expecting it. On the song "Eric's Song" it says this
"And Im sick and tired of living this way
Sick and tired of being alone
Sick and tired of running from your love"
Here are the Lyrics to the song "the way I feel"
"Lately I've been wandering
Off the narrow path
Youve given me so many things that I've never had
And all in all I know it's you that always pulls me through
If you reach deep inside youll see my heart is true
Cause I hate the way I feel tonight
And I know I need you in my life
Yes I hate the way I feel inside
And I promise to make the sacrifice
The world I know is pulling me
More and more each day
I feel like the odd man out as I begin to pray
Spiteful eyes are watching me
With everything I do
In the midst of darkness Lord
My spirit calls for you
(You know sometimes deep inside)
I feel like this"
That song hit me more than any other song on the Cd. It talks about giving things up, and not caring if other people don't like it..just doing what God wants. It has the Rock sound and it's really good. I encourage you to check it out for yourself!
